You could show the films you wanted to show. Invite the people you wanted to invite. Set your own house rules to turn a screening into an event.
Well … that’s what we’re offering you, right now, in the first of a new style of cinemas in the UK.
The idea is simple ….
Choose your venue. We can offer you a ready-made one at The Custard Factory Theatre or you can use any public space with a half decent data projector hooked up to a DVD player and a wall or space to screen on.
Choose your film. The only rule here is that it needs to be properly licensed for a public screening. We’ve negotiated special deals with Park Circus, one of the best boutique distributors in the UK, with more coming soon … in the meantime you’ll find a list of distributors and titles right here. Or let us know if there’s a particular film you’re looking for and we’ll help you find it.
Promote your screening. You need to sell just 20 tickets to break even … but that can be easily covered by family and friends alone. The rest is all gravy … and our revenue share deals are 70/30 in your favour, so you might even make a few quid. Maybe you could run it as fundraiser for your favourite community group, club, school or charity? We’ll help you promote the screening through our site, social networks and regular audiences … but the more you can do through your own social networks, the more chance you’ll have of drawing a good crowd.
Programme our events. Our regular themed events are all open to programming suggestions, so you can slot right in there or come up with a theme of your own … whether it’s a one-off event or hosting your own season or mini-festival.
